Since the early days when we were known as the InterInsurance Network, we’ve had the same vision: for LGBTQ+ insurance industry professionals and our allies to come together to uplift the industry for staff, customers and community. As we’ve grown from humble beginnings, we’ve built connections, made lasting friendships and helped inspire an industry to work more towards safer, inclusive workplaces, and better experiences for our customers.

And that was only the beginning.

We’ve had ambitious plans during our tenure, and a core part of our strategy has always been to evolve the network into something that will enable us to do bigger and better things. 

Which is why we are beyond excited to announce that InsurePride has officially become an incorporated association.

This next phase formalises our structure and allows us to grow partnerships, acquire funding and continue to build on our thought leadership, advocacy and industry reform. It will enable us to fund more events with paid speakers, generate more ground breaking research and do even bigger and better things for our community and our industry.

To that end, we’ve released a partnership prospectus that outlines partnership opportunities that are considered our foundational legacy partners. This is a lower priced, limited number corporate membership as we build up the operational elements, and embed this new phase.

InsurePride will continue to be free to join for individuals, and there are not plans for that to change. We are however producing a limited run of lifetime legacy memberships in 2025 for those who wish to purchase this as a celebration of our launch. The one off legacy membership payment will provide a limited edition pack* that includes InsurePride pin, lanyard, custom ID card and with all proceeds going to Black Rainbow, a community organisation supporting Indigenous LGBTQIA+SB youth in Australia. That way, we’re immediately giving back to InsurePride’s members and community right out of the gate.

*Some goods included in pack may change depending on print/design costs but will advise final offerings once merch received in early 2021
